By the second week of January most of us have abandoned our New Year’s resolutions despite our best intentions. But artist and designer Lulu Kitololo has steadfastly stuck to hers. This year Lulu challenged herself to create a piece of plant-inspired art every single day.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Lulu now lives in London and runs the Lulu Kitololo Studio. Midway through last year, Lulu decided to “stop talking and start making”. To this end, she made time to put her brilliant ideas into practice, creating beautiful products for art fairs in the UK and for sale on Etsy.
The #PlantSomethingDaily challenge is one way Lulu is keeping the momentum going. If you’re wondering, why plants? Lulu explains: “Besides Africa, nature is my biggest muse and I think we can agree that plants make [most] people happy.”
