With the launch of their merchandise, brother and sister style collective — 2ManySiblings — have made yet another move to establish themselves as style entrepreneurs. At Thrift Social 4, a style event organised by the pair, they launched T-shirts and a linen tote bag.
The design of the tote bag was informed by the bag style the pair favour and generally use. Designer Stephen Otieno made the bag out of material printed with palm leaves, purchased in downtown Nairobi.
The T-shirts come in two styles — short- and long-sleeved. The 2ManySiblings logo, designed by their friend Nafoore Qaa, is printed on the front. The collar has been removed from all the tees and Velma Rossa explains why: “We like to customise things; we don’t like things proper. The crew neck design is too restricting”.
The response to these items has been so good that 2ManySiblings plan to make the T-shirts and linen bags available in more stores, both locally and internationally.
